The Italian Institute for Insurance Supervision published an update on the liquidation of Luxembourg insurer FWU Life Insurance Lux S.A., relaying the liquidator’s status on proof of claim submissions. All forms received are being processed but, due to the high volume of requests, no automatic acknowledgement of receipt will be issued and creditors seeking updates on their individual case must register on the liquidator’s customer portal. The liquidator also warned that Italian paper identity cards will become invalid from 3 August 2026 regardless of the expiry date shown on the document. Creditors who still need to file a claim, or who have already filed one using a paper ID, are asked to obtain an Electronic Identity Card and upload it via the customer portal, and to avoid non-essential clarification requests to preserve resources for claim verification and admission. Further information on the next stages of the process is expected to follow.
