The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, through the Internal Trade Development Authority, to set up and equip a dedicated “premium services” commercial registry office within the FRA’s headquarters. The initiative is intended to simplify and speed up company incorporation and status-update procedures for firms operating in non-banking financial activities by providing key government services in one location. The in-house office is expected to enable commercial registry transactions, including registration, amendments and deletions, with reduced administrative burden for companies and investors. Under the protocol, the Internal Trade Development Authority will provide qualified staff, technical support and operating systems for the office, and the two sides will enhance information integration and data exchange while maintaining confidentiality and applying governance standards.
