The Kenya Capital Markets Authority has approved additional collective investment scheme subfunds for Britam Asset Managers and Zimele Asset Management, alongside a new Britam alternative investment fund. The approvals expand regulated offerings across money market, fixed income, multi-asset, global equity and goal-based savings strategies, with options denominated in Kenyan shillings and U.S. dollars. Britam’s new subfunds will provide actively managed exposure to local and global assets and access to global equities, while Zimele’s additions include money market, fixed income, education and savings products. The Green Investment Fund LLP will use equity, mezzanine, quasi-equity and other flexible financing structures to invest primarily in growth-stage green and greening micro, small and medium enterprises in Kenya and the East African Community. Investors should review schemes before investing and use only licensed and approved capital markets intermediaries.
