Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) reported that its Chairman, Jean-Paul Servais, in his capacity as Chair of both the FSMA and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), held a bilateral meeting with Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands during a visit to New York, focusing on themes of financial health, inclusion and education. The FSMA noted Queen Máxima’s roles as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, following her previous mandate as Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (2009–2024), and as Chair of the International Advisory Board of the Global Finance & Technology Network since 1 July 2025. Servais linked these themes to the FSMA’s Wikifin financial education programme and to IOSCO’s financial literacy work, including the annual World Investor Week.
