The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) released its Office of the Ombudsman 2024 Annual Report, summarising the Ombudsman’s core programs and 2024 activities that support recommendations to the NCUA Board and provide an informal channel to address issues with the agency’s supervisory processes or conclusions. The report describes engagement with examiners, independent reviews of agency processes, and feedback from the Post Exam Survey. It also reports that the Office of the Ombudsman processed 44 inquiries and complaints related to data breaches and cyber threats at federally insured credit unions, made one recommendation to the NCUA Board on the agency’s consumer complaint process, and resolved 598 inquiries during 2024.
