The Central Bank of Cyprus published updated banking sector data showing that the nonperforming loan ratio fell to 1.5% at the end of July 2026 from 1.6% in June. Provision coverage of nonperforming loans also declined, to 64.5% from 64.9%. The nonperforming loan ratio follows the European Banking Authority’s Risk Dashboard methodology, which includes loans and advances to central banks and credit institutions. Restructured loans totaled EUR 0.7 billion at the end of July, of which EUR 0.3 billion remained classified as nonperforming.
