Ecuador’s Superintendence of Banks issued a circular instructing entities that form part of the Credit Guarantee System to provide institutional and operational information to support supervisory, audit, control and oversight work under the Organic Monetary and Financial Code. By 15 April 2026, entities must submit institutional contact details, copies of agreements signed for the granting of credit guarantees, confirmation on the use of these mechanisms, and a breakdown of guarantees granted as of 28 February 2026, including amounts, terms and the status of the underlying operations. The information must be provided digitally through the Superintendence of Banks’ official online submission channel.
