Payments Canada has appointed two new and three returning members to its Stakeholder Advisory Council, which provides advice to Payments Canada’s leadership, employees and board on key elements shaping the future of payments. The appointments took effect on April 1, 2025 and were reviewed and approved by the Payments Canada Board of Directors in consultation with the Minister of Finance. New members are Raveen Sangha (Head of Canadian Payment Acceptance, Amazon) and Tracy Lagasse (Vice President Sales, Client Experience and Payments Infrastructure for Financial Institutions, Dye & Durham). Returning members are Don Mercer (Advisor, Consumers Council of Canada), Daniela Aubry (Chief Payments Officer, Metrolinx) and Josh Rowat (Head of North American Banking and Expansion, Wise). Payments Canada’s 2025 call for nominations for the Stakeholder Advisory Council is scheduled to open in Fall 2025.
