Sweden's Finansinspektionen has published the capital requirements for Swedish banks and credit institutions in supervisory categories 1 and 2 as at the end of the third quarter of 2025. The publication is intended to clarify the effect of the authority’s capital requirements, including Pillar 2. The disclosure covers Handelsbanken, SEB and Swedbank, as well as Länsförsäkringar, Klarna, Kommuninvest, Svensk Exportkredit (SEK), SBAB, Avanza and Nordnet. Pillar 2 is described as the set of rules governing firms’ internal capital adequacy assessment and Finansinspektionen’s supervisory review and evaluation process, in which the authority’s overall capital assessment is an important component.
