The Central Bank of Argentina has opened the call for entries for the 17th Annual Economic Research Prize “Dr. Raúl Prebisch”, inviting university students, early-career professionals and authors of doctoral theses in economics to submit research on central banking-related topics. Eligible papers must focus on monetary, banking, payments, foreign exchange, financial or macroeconomic issues, and may be theoretical or empirical, applied to the Argentine or international economy. Submissions are accepted in three categories: undergraduate students in economics or related fields at public or private universities in Argentina; young professionals within five years of graduation; and economics doctoral theses approved between 2019 and 2025. The jury comprises Vladimir Werning, Mauro Alessandro, Sebastián Katz and Laura D’Amato. Entries can be submitted via an online registration form until 15 October 2025. Awarded papers will be published on the prize section and considered for possible publication in the central bank’s academic journal, Ensayos Económicos.
