The Ministry of Finance (Malaysia), together with Bank Negara Malaysia, has opened the Malaysia Open House @ ASEAN 2025 exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, running from 7 to 10 April 2025 alongside the ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting. The exhibition is free to the public and includes more than 30 booths across three zones covering culture, finance and the economy, and youth. At the launch, Malaysia’s Second Minister of Finance highlighted the exhibition’s focus on connecting the public with Malaysian and ASEAN micro-entrepreneurs and providing pathways for small traders to access support from leading financial institutions. The programme spotlights Bank Negara Malaysia’s iTekad social finance initiative, funded with RM15 million under Budget 2025, which targets low-income micro-entrepreneurs with support to strengthen financial management and business capability, with participating banks on-site to provide information and services. The exhibition also includes financial education content such as safe investment guidance, steps to avoid financial crime, and sustainable financial management strategies.
