The Securities and Exchange Board of India announced that Avneesh Pandey has taken charge as Executive Director and will handle the Information Technology Department. Pandey was previously SEBI’s Chief General Manager and has around three decades of securities market regulatory experience spanning IT initiatives, business process innovation, big data analytics, supervisory technology, cyber security, and IT audits and inspections. His academic background includes an MPhil in Technology Policy from the University of Cambridge and management studies at the Asian Institute of Management as an ADB-Japan Scholar.
