The Dominican Republic's Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) participated in the 11th Economic and Financial Week 2025, organised by the Central Bank of the Dominican Republic (BCRD), delivering pension education to more than 2,000 young students and adults through educational talks and an interactive stand. A flagship session, titled “Pensions? What do you eat that with?”, used humour, memes and simplified content to explain how the pension system works, with contributions from TikTok influencer Steven Brito and ventriloquist-comedian Liondy Ozoria (with the character Don Chichí). SIPEN also ran two rounds of educational talks reaching more than 300 people, mainly students from schools in Santo Domingo Este, San Juan de la Maguana, San Cristóbal, and Santiago de los Caballeros, delivered by Carmen Pichardo, Supervisor for User Services at SIPEN.
