The National Bank of Moldova published its monthly statistics on the domestic cash foreign exchange market, covering cash exchange units’ purchases and sales of foreign currency against the Moldovan leu with individuals. In July 2025, total turnover amounted to EUR 516.4 million (EUR-equivalent), comprising EUR 422.5 million of purchases and EUR 93.9 million of sales. Euro transactions totalled EUR 373.4 million (72.7% of turnover), followed by the US dollar at EUR 88.1 million (17.2%) and other currencies at EUR 40.6 million (8.4%). Compared with the previous month, total turnover increased 19.3% (purchases +22.9%, sales +5.5%); versus July 2024, turnover rose 3.0% (purchases +3.7%, sales -0.2%). Euro equivalents are calculated using the monthly average official exchange rates of the Moldovan leu against the euro and the relevant foreign currency.

The National Bank of Moldova released July 2025 statistics on the domestic cash foreign exchange market, reporting a total turnover of EUR 516.4 million. Euro transactions dominated at 72.7% of turnover, with a 19.3% increase from the previous month. Compared to July 2024, turnover rose by 3.0%.
