Thailand’s Minister of Finance has signed an order appointing three individuals as expert members of the Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Board, effective 19 June 2025. The appointees are Mr. Anan Kaewkumnoed as an expert member in finance, and Mr. Chanchai Chaiprasit and Mr. Pachara Naripthaphan as expert members. Anan currently serves as Director of the Budget Bureau and holds a number of public-sector board roles, including at the Government Pension Fund, and also serves as an independent director of Stock Exchange of Thailand-listed companies and as a distinguished public prosecutor at the Office of the Attorney General. Chanchai is Vice Chairman and President of Auditing Professions at the Thailand Federation of Accounting Professions and previously served as chairman and chief executive officer of a major audit firm. Pachara is an expert member on the Board of Directors of the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion and previously served as executive advisor to the chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.
