The Central Bank of Russia and the National Bank of Kazakhstan have signed a RUB/KZT swap line agreement that allows each central bank to access short-term liquidity in the other country’s national currency, with a total size of RUB 35 billion or KZT 225 billion, a three-year term, and individual transactions limited to no more than one year at market interest rates.
