The Dubai International Financial Centre’s Innovation Hub has reported that its Geospatial Accelerator is moving into pilot development, with 10 international companies selected from 73 applications across 24 countries. The companies will work with UAE public and private sector organisations to test solutions combining Earth Observation data and artificial intelligence for operational challenges, including insurance risk, maritime safety and public safety. The selected companies will be paired with three public sector organisations and two private sector organisations to develop proofs of concept. Partners include FADA, part of EDGE Group, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure’s National Maritime Centre, Dubai Civil Defence General Command, professional services firm Buro Happold and Liva Insurance. The pilots will also address infrastructure, the built environment and geospatial intelligence. Launched in November 2025, the accelerator is the first programme under Space for Earth Labs, established by the Innovation Hub with the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre and Relm Insurance to connect space technologies with commercial and public sector demand. Selected companies are scheduled to present their proof-of-concept solutions at the Dubai AI Festival in October 2026.
