Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK) reported capital market fines totaling approximately IDR 2.52 trillion through Oct. 16, 2026, including IDR 2.1 trillion in principal fines across three recent enforcement cases. The recent sanctions concern violations involving trading in PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk shares and the initial public offerings of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk and PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk. Principal fines in those cases amounted to IDR 1.5 trillion, IDR 500 billion and IDR 100 billion, respectively. Related exchange members and individuals also received sanctions, including suspensions of capital market professional licenses. Across its enforcement activity through Oct. 16, OJK imposed IDR 2.23 trillion in fines on 166 parties following case examinations, alongside measures including warnings, suspensions and license revocations. A further 805 parties received penalties totaling IDR 293.78 billion for delays. Administrative sanctions may be followed by criminal investigations where further examination identifies suspected capital market offenses supported by sufficient evidence. OJK delivered the recent sanction notices on Oct. 21 in the presence of Indonesian National Police representatives. Further enforcement work will include tracing fund flows, identifying parties that obtained unlawful economic benefits and examining networks of connected parties, with coordination involving police and financial intelligence authorities.
