The Bermuda Monetary Authority (BMA) and CPA Bermuda delivered their College Readiness Programme for a second year, providing 20 students from across Bermuda with practical financial education before college. The free programme, held on 21 and 22 October at BMA House, focused on helping high school seniors prepare budgets, assess college funding options and develop personal financial plans. Participants examined financial aid, loans and savings strategies alongside responsible credit use and debt management. Sessions also addressed online spending, subscriptions and emergency savings. Students applied the lessons to build financial plans for college, linking their personal goals to realistic budgets and funding needs. The programme follows the inaugural initiative in October 2025 and forms part of the BMA’s strategic focus on financial literacy and customer protection.
