The Central Bank of Russia has outlined the Coin Week campaign, running from Oct. 26 to Nov. 7, 2026, with more than 20,000 coin collection points nationwide. Individuals can exchange coins for banknotes without a fee at participating banks and stores. Those bringing coins to participating banks can also credit the equivalent amount to their accounts. The campaign has been held across all Russian regions since 2023. Over that period, more than 270 million coins worth nearly RUB 1.2 billion have been returned to circulation.
