The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) led a delegation to Bangkok for a study visit focused on digital economy development, including how digital asset businesses are managed and supervised in the capital market. The delegation, joined by Cambodia’s Ministry of Economy and Finance General Department of Digital Economy, met with senior counterparts in Thailand including the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, the Director General of the Treasury Department of the Ministry of Finance, executives of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand, and the Director of the Thailand International Digital Business and Finance Centre. Discussions covered regulatory frameworks, trends, practices, and supervisory challenges for digital asset businesses, as well as the role of institutions in supporting national digital economy development.
