The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) reported higher targets for Dubai AI Campus, aiming to attract more than 1,000 AI companies and create over 5,000 highly skilled jobs by 2030. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, crown prince of Dubai, approved the targets at the third Dubai AI Festival. Since its launch in May 2024, the campus has attracted more than 500 AI companies, which have collectively secured over AED 1 billion from private equity and venture capital funds. It has exceeded its original five-year company and investment targets two years early and contributed to creating more than 2,000 specialised technology jobs. Sheikh Hamdan also reviewed plans for a new campus facility covering 100,000 square feet in DIFC Zabeel District, as DIFC pursues its previously outlined ambition to become a fully AI native financial centre. Planned infrastructure includes systems ready for graphics processing units, secure AI development zones and digital twin environments. Dedicated laboratories will enable government entities and private sector organisations to develop, pilot and validate AI solutions before wider deployment.
