The Central Bank of Ecuador launched an outreach program in Paute, Azuay province, to bring financial education, monetary heritage and economic information resources to 100 cities across the country's 24 provinces. The initiative forms part of activities marking the bank's centenary in 2027 and aims to extend access beyond provincial capitals. The first phase, planned for September to December 2026, includes activities in 22 cities. The program has three components: the Money Museum will share Ecuador's monetary history and numismatic heritage, while financial education activities will provide tools for managing personal finances and making informed decisions. The Economic Library will provide access to specialized publications and economic content.
