Quebec's Financial Markets Authority (AMF) is focusing its November Financial Literacy Month campaign on caution when using artificial intelligence (AI) and financial influencers to inform financial decisions. These sources can help consumers understand financial concepts but cannot replace advice tailored to individual circumstances. Consumers should verify the information against reliable sources before acting. A Léger survey commissioned by the AMF found that 30% of Quebeckers use AI to obtain personal finance information, rising to 50% among those aged 18 to 24. AI use among that younger group increased 13 percentage points from 2025. Separately, 21% of Quebeckers said advice from financial influencers or content creators could guide their decisions, also reaching 50% among 18- to 24-year-olds. During November, the AMF will provide educational content and practical guidance addressing AI, financial influencers and gamification.
