The Iraqi Securities Commission approved the introduction of sector indices for companies listed on the Iraq Stock Exchange and the listing, deposit and trading of Cihan Insurance shares on the exchange’s over the counter (OTC) platform. The approvals formed part of the commission’s ninth board meeting of 2026. The board also established a committee to review and update some of the commission’s regulations. It separately ratified decisions of the Iraq Stock Exchange’s board of governors.
