The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) set out priorities to strengthen internal oversight, leadership accountability and action against corruption at an expanded party committee meeting chaired by Chairman and Party Secretary Wu Qing. The agenda implements Communist Party plenum decisions on stricter party governance, alongside continued efforts to stabilize capital markets and advance investment and financing reforms. Lessons from cases involving Yi Huiman, Wang Huimin, Wang Jianjun and Fang Xinghai underpin the emphasis on closer supervision of leadership teams. Priorities include stronger oversight of officials heading subordinate bodies, clearer accountability for party committee secretaries and other committee members, and more effective disciplinary enforcement. Action against new and concealed forms of corruption will be supported by stronger controls over the allocation and exercise of power and greater use of technology in supervision. For capital markets, the meeting called for continued efforts to stabilize markets and expectations, deepen coordinated investment and financing reforms, and improve supervision across the full market chain. These remain priorities for completing capital market tasks in the opening year of the 15th Five-Year Plan.
