The International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) approved its 2027 work programme, focusing on consistent implementation of the Core Principles, deposit insurance resilience in the digital era and crisis preparedness. The programme is the first under its Strategic Goals and Objectives 2026-2031 and carries forward the 2026 emphasis on implementing updated standards and addressing digitalisation. IADI will complete the revised Handbook for the Assessment of Compliance with the Core Principles, continuing work included in its 2026 priorities and supporting assessments and training. Its digital work will focus on public awareness of deposit insurance coverage and the implications of integrating digital assets into the financial system for the scope of protection. Crisis preparedness work will examine interactions between deposit insurers and resolution authorities and update reimbursement guidance. IADI will also begin work on the investment of deposit insurance funds and promote regular crisis simulation exercises. Separately, members elected eight Executive Council members at the Berlin meetings.
