The National Credit Union Administration has granted a federal charter and Share Insurance Fund coverage to All Peoples United Federal Credit Union in Columbia, Maryland. The charter took effect Oct. 6, 2026, making it the second federal credit union chartered in 2026. The multiple common bond credit union will primarily serve members of First Trust Team Corporation in Columbia and the Community Solidarity Network in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Both organizations support Cameroonian and broader African diaspora communities. During its first year of operations, the credit union plans to offer share accounts, share draft accounts, signature loans and auto loans.
