The Jordan Securities Commission has set out strengthened residence checks for auditors qualified to audit entities under its supervision. Under a Board of Commissioners decision dated Sept. 24, 2026, auditors must be physically resident in Jordan for at least 183 days annually. The checks verify compliance with the registration requirement to work full time at an audit office in the country. Within 30 days of the end of the second quarter each year, auditors must submit a declaration of their presence in Jordan covering July 1 of the previous year through June 30 of the submission year. This must be supported by an official letter from the Public Security Directorate’s Residency and Borders Department recording entries and exits during that period. Failure to submit the required documentation within the specified timeframe may lead to legal action under the relevant instructions.
