The National Bank of Georgia presented a new Financial Education Bus project to increase access to financial education in schools across Georgia’s regions. Presented at an event marking World Savings Day, the project is supported by a cooperation memorandum signed by the central bank, Georgia’s Ministry of Education, Science and Youth, the National Center for Teacher Professional Development and partner financial institutions. The event also reviewed the cumulative results of earlier educational initiatives delivered through Finedu, the central bank’s financial education platform. Its Invite Finedu to Class project has delivered lessons in more than 1,200 classes nationwide, reaching around 33,000 pupils. A separate initiative has trained more than 1,300 teachers, while visits to the central bank have involved more than 85 schools and 2,200 pupils.
