The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) has published a statement on a bilateral cooperation agreement signed with the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC) in Phnom Penh on Oct. 22, 2026. The agreement establishes a framework for exchanging experience and information, supported by a priority action program for 2027 to 2028 covering capacity building, digital transformation and financial inclusion, and payment systems. The program includes cooperation on innovation and cybersecurity, alongside the oversight, modernization and interconnection of payment systems and instruments. The two central banks will meet periodically to assess implementation of the agreement.
