The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has reported national financial education and inclusion data to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) for the first time. The submission paves the way for Kosovo’s first inclusion in the OECD’s international report on financial education and inclusion, expected in 2027. The data were collected through a national survey using the methodology of the OECD’s International Network on Financial Education. It measures financial knowledge, behavior and attitudes, alongside financial inclusion and financial wellbeing. Participation will allow Kosovo’s indicators to be compared with those of other participating countries and economies using harmonized international standards. The findings will inform the Strategy for Financial Education and Financial Health, which the central bank is preparing with World Bank support. They will also guide financial education programming and institutional decisions on financial consumer protection. The survey data and key findings are planned for publication alongside the strategy’s presentation in the first part of 2027.
