Oman’s Financial Services Authority (FSA) and the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen regulatory and supervisory cooperation in securities and futures markets. The agreement focuses on investor protection and market integrity and provides a framework for technical cooperation and capacity building. Cooperation will draw on China’s capital market experience to support the development of Oman’s capital market and diversification of its financial instruments, in line with Oman Vision 2040. The signing follows the FSA’s September 2026 meetings with the CSRC during a roadshow in China and Hong Kong, where the authorities discussed regulatory cooperation and exchanges of supervisory expertise.
