The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Digital India BHASHINI Division (DIBD) to facilitate access to its services in regional Indian languages. The agreement will also support the enhancement of BHASHINI’s language models with securities market terminology. SEBI will be able to use BHASHINI’s language translation interfaces, models and tools, including automatic speech recognition, text to speech, machine translation and optical character recognition. DIBD operates under the Digital India Corporation, a nonprofit company established by India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
