The Dominican Republic’s Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) has awarded brokerage firm United Capital Puesto de Bolsa a pension education certification for strengthening employees’ understanding of the Dominican pension system. The seal recognizes institutions where more than 70% of employees acquire the necessary knowledge of the system. The educational initiative includes seven short videos totaling about 30 minutes that address common pension questions. Topics include what happens when a worker does not reach 360 contributions, when a family’s breadwinner dies or when someone loses their job at an older age.
