The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has launched its Innovation Hub Collaboration Framework and its first initiative, the Mojaloop Country Accelerator Program for Pakistan, in partnership with the Mojaloop Foundation. The framework supports capacity building and knowledge exchange through nonexclusive partnerships that are neutral toward technologies and providers. The hub, which SBP was preparing to establish in November 2025, operates under SBP Vision 2028. The accelerator aims to build expertise in digital payment infrastructure among local system implementers, digital financial service providers and payment hub operators. It runs for 16 weeks from November 2026 to February 2027, combining learning at participants’ own pace with sessions led by experts. The Mojaloop Foundation, which maintains the Mojaloop open source payment software, is providing program design and technical training. Participants will also join its technical community to support continued learning and the application of global best practices in Pakistan.
