National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan Deputy Chairman Ziyoratsho Ghulomzoda discussed financial sector reform and potential cooperation with a German Chamber of Foreign Trade delegation. The meeting addressed strengthening banking supervision, insurance regulation, and the development of payment infrastructure and digital financial services. Ghulomzoda also outlined the bank's work on monetary policy and corporate governance. Delegation members expressed particular interest in digitalising insurance. This was already an established reform priority for the bank, which reported in January 2026 that a unified electronic insurance system was in the final stage of implementation. Compulsory motor liability insurance had been connected first, with other insurance types planned for inclusion in stages.
