The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan reported its participation alongside financial institutions in a tree planting event in Mushfiqabad. A total of 1,250 Eldar pine and olive trees were planted across 2 hectares to help restore forest resources and expand green spaces. The event formed part of a cooperation memorandum signed on March 13, 2023, by the central bank, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and five financial sector associations. The memorandum sets a target of planting 100,000 trees annually over 10 years starting in 2023, totaling 1 million trees.
