The International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) has received Regulation Asia’s Outstanding Contribution to Regulatory Reforms award for its Digital Regulatory Reporting (DRR) solution. The solution uses the Common Domain Model to turn an industry interpretation of derivatives reporting rules into executable code, helping firms reduce costs, improve data quality and adapt to rule changes. ISDA DRR has been applied to nine reporting regimes globally, with planned coverage of 14 regimes across nine jurisdictions. Firms and supervisors can use the code free of charge. During the awards review period, ISDA extended coverage to Hong Kong’s revised reporting rules ahead of the September 2025 compliance date and integrated artificial intelligence (AI) functionality to improve accuracy, transparency and consistency. In October, ISDA launched a DRR Tracer Agent that allows users to trace the industry discussions and decisions behind the coding of reporting rules. Additional AI agents are planned for later in 2026 and in 2027, including a Translator Agent to help convert new or updated reporting requirements into DRR code.
