During the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C., National Bank of Georgia Governor Natia Turnava and Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili met with IMF Executive Director Jeroen Clicq and Alternate Executive Director Marnix van Rij to discuss Georgia’s macroeconomic conditions and ongoing engagement with the IMF. The discussion covered strong growth indicators, the National Bank of Georgia’s monetary policy framework and its role in price stability, and the resilience of the financial system, alongside global challenges and risks. Vice Governors Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava and deputy ministers from the Ministries of Finance and Economy also participated, with both sides pointing to continued collaboration and the IMF Mission’s forthcoming visit to Georgia.
