Thailand's Office of Insurance Commission reported that its 2026 Teacher Tea Talk program established a financial and insurance education network of 245 teachers and education staff from 100 schools. The program prepares educators to become insurance ambassadors who teach financial planning and risk management to students, families and communities. Training covers savings, debt management and the use of insurance to transfer risk and limit the financial impact of unexpected events. The National Credit Bureau contributed instruction on checking repayment histories, planning debt repayments and building financial discipline. Practical exercises help teachers apply these skills to their own finances and incorporate them into classroom learning. In 2027, the commission plans to expand the network nationwide and develop lead teachers at provincial and regional levels. It also plans to promote continued use of teaching materials and learning activities in schools so educators can deliver financial and insurance education independently.
