The Bank of Cape Verde has reported on a completed training program for internal auditors, risk managers and compliance officers on applying data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) to audit and risk assessment. The program focused on detecting anomalies, developing predictive risk indicators and assessing risks arising from poor data quality, governance failures and misuse of AI. The training addressed prompt engineering to automate analytical tasks using ChatGPT and other large language models, alongside dashboards and reporting for audit committees and regulators. It also included a simulated audit using data and AI. Organized by the Financial Technology Transfer Agency of Luxembourg’s House of Training, with support from Luxembourg’s government, the program combined online sessions on Sept. 28 and 30, 2026, with classroom sessions in Praia from Oct. 12 to 15, 2026.
