The National Bank of Serbia reported that its real-time gross settlement (RTGS) and clearing systems processed 18.7 million payments in October 2026, with no downtime and 100% availability. Payment volumes averaged 851,356 a day across 22 business days. RTGS accounted for 96.9% of payments and recorded turnover of RSD 17,195.9 billion. Clearing represented the remaining 3.1% of payments, with turnover of RSD 19.1 billion, equivalent to 0.11% of combined turnover. Interbank and international clearing of foreign exchange payments processed transactions worth EUR 244,441,640.83, with 21 participants. These systems also operated without downtime, achieving 100% availability.
