The European Payments Council has published a “Verification of Payee (VOP) API Reference Toolbox (ART) – Test Cases” document, setting out the test cases used to validate the VOP solution. The document supports Payment Service Providers and Routing and Verification Mechanisms using the ART test environment to verify compliance with the EPC’s VOP Inter-PSP API specifications. The test cases cover both roles in the VOP API ecosystem, enabling testing as the requesting side (initiator of a VOP request) and the responding side (data provider). Cases are organised into positive scenarios (to be run once as requesting side and once as responding side) and negative scenarios specific to each role.
