The Turks and Caicos Islands Financial Services Commission reported that an executive attended the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) ICON 2026 Conference, held from Oct. 18 to 20, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. The conference examined how artificial intelligence and changing media consumption affect strategic communications, alongside the use of data to inform communications strategies. Reflecting on the event, Communications Adviser Dr. Courtney Robinson emphasized clarity, empathy and evidence in institutional messaging. Sessions on ethics addressed communications advisers’ role in mitigating reputational risk and maintaining accuracy. The programme also encouraged participants to distinguish genuine risks from distractions and assess communications through their impact rather than the volume of output.
