The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC), in collaboration with the Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC), held a workshop to raise public awareness on implementing the joint Prakas setting requirements for telecommunication operators conducting public offerings of securities. The session also highlighted a joint SERC-TRC statement aimed at preventing the promotion of securities sector-related products and services without a licence or approval from SERC. Hosted at the TRC and presided over by SERC Director General Sou Socheat and TRC Chairman Thong Chenda, the workshop brought together senior leadership and officials from both regulators, telecommunication operators, an underwriter, the Association of Securities Firms, the Association of Derivatives Broker, participants in Cambodia’s securities sector sandbox, and SERC speakers.
