The Bank of Cape Verde has launched a program of institutional visits to all six microfinance institutions it authorizes and supervises. Beginning in September 2026, the program aims to assess each institution’s operations and understand the sector’s main concerns, challenges and outlook. The visits will also gather input to improve the supervisory and regulatory framework and support closer dialogue between the regulator and supervised institutions. The program covers MORABI-COOP, OM CRÉDITO MPC, FAMI-PICOS MPC, ASDIS-COOP, SOLMI-COOP and SOLDIFOGO-COOP across Praia, inland Santiago and Fogo.
