The Algeria Market Authority organized an information day in Oran on financing companies through the financial market, private equity and crowdfunding, as part of its push to introduce alternative funding mechanisms for the national economy. The main concrete outcome was the granting of an approval to the Yinvesti platform, which will allow emerging companies, small businesses and project sponsors to obtain financing through crowdfunding. Held in collaboration with the wilaya of Oran, the event brought together COSOB President Youcef Bouzenada, Oran Governor Samir Chibani, representatives of private equity firms, regional bank directors, professors and students. In opening remarks, Bouzenada stressed the need to diversify corporate financing channels and presented the development potential of the financial market along with key 2024 results for the market, the stock exchange and private equity firms. Chibani described these channels as an alternative source of finance that can help support small, medium-sized and emerging companies.
