The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic imposed fines on two exchange bureaus in Bishkek for breaches of Kyrgyz Republic legislation and the National Bank’s regulatory requirements, and separately sanctioned two individuals for carrying out cash foreign currency exchange operations without a licence. Each of the two exchange bureaus was fined KGS 55,000. Two Kyrgyz Republic citizens (S.I.T. and Zh.I.Zh.) were each fined KGS 17,500 for unlicensed cash foreign currency exchange activity in Bishkek.
