Securities Commission Malaysia has opened applications for its 14th Scholar in Residence Fellowship Programme in Islamic finance, hosted by the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies in the United Kingdom for the 2025/2026 academic year. The programme supports independent applied research on topics of contemporary relevance to the Islamic capital market. Priority research areas include Maqasid al-Shariah, Islamic social finance and fintech, impact investing and impact projects measurement, and sustainable and responsible investments. The selected fellow will be based in Oxford for one academic year starting in October 2025, with responsibilities including conducting research, participating in academic activities, delivering lectures, collaborating on studies, and engaging with relevant institutions. Applications are open until 28 April 2025.
